The Art of Kind Attention

The Art of Kind Attention
Supporting Children Through Focusing and NVC Tools

Children often communicate their inner world through play, movement, images, or behavior rather than words.

Who is this workshop for?
This experiential workshop is designed for therapists, psychologists, counselors, educators, and other professionals working with children and adolescents who wish to support emotional awareness and self-understanding in a gentle way.

What to expect
This workshop introduces practical ways of supporting children using attitudes and tools inspired by Focusing and Nonviolent Communication.

Through experiential exercises, reflection, and clinical examples, participants will explore how kind attention, empathic presence, and embodied listening can help children recognize, regulate, and make sense of their emotional experience.

Rather than teaching children what they should feel, we explore how to accompany what is already alive in them — with curiosity, respect, and care.Whether you work professionally with children or care for them as a parent or grandparent, this workshop will enrich your practice with tools for bringing greater kindness, presence, and effectiveness to your relationships with young people.
